築40年、しばらく使われていなかった家のリノベーション。状態は良好だったが、水廻りはシロアリの被害があった。次の40年を見据えて、耐震補強等をしっかりと施した上で、空間づくりに臨んだ。京都に住んだ経験と海外旅行の記憶を持つ建築主の要望は、そのふたつを融合した別荘感のある家。建築主と設計者が知恵を出し合い、そのイメージを空間に映し出した。
