バリの青空とインド洋を一望できる高台に、水に浮かぶように建つチャペル。インドネシアの伝統家屋には屋根架構が大きな気積をつくり、そこに一つの世界観を見出す思想が根付いているとされる。こうしたモチーフを想起させる、地面から天に向かって局面を描く尖塔アーチを形作り、自然界と日常を結ぶゲートのような空間を計画した。頂部に切られたトップライトからの自然光は、内部の白木仕上げの壁を伝い、空間を柔らかな光で包む。

In traditional Indonesian houses, the roof frame creates a large ambition, and there is a thought to find a world view there. We created a spire arch that recalls these motifs and depicts a phase from the ground to the heavens, and planned a space like a gate that connects nature and everyday life. Natural light from the top light cut at the top travels through the interior white wood-finished walls, wrapping the space with soft light.
